Steps of Writing

1.                  Beginning
Get an idea
Jot notes/thoughts/sketches or possible ideas (characters, setting, problem, solution)

Ship → forest → pick good spot → cut down trees → build log cabin → plant crops

Research or interview people to learn more about the topic you are writing about

2.         Write a rough draft

3.         Edit
Fix it, rewrite it, improve it, change it, take out parts, add words/parts, check spelling, punctuation, does it make sense?  MESSY!

4.         Rewrite it to make it easier to read

5.         PUBLISH
Perfect no spelling/punctuation errors, add pictures, text features....
