Urban and Rural Communities Homework

  1. We are studying urban and rural communities.  When you are out please discuss what you notice about the community you are traveling through.  Is it rural or urban, how do you know?  What do you see?
  1. Look through the Brampton Guardian.  Cut out advertisements, articles or pictures that show services, events, activities, or places you could find in urban (city) communities.  Glue what you find on paper.  (e.g., You might cut out an advertisement for Brampton Transit, Shoppers World mall, plays coming up at the Rose theatre because these are places/services that you would NOT find in rural (countryside) communities.)
